Not only is this dress gorgeous, it's FUN and COMFORTABLE. I had an absolute blast twirling and running around the gardens wearing this. It has a structured look to the bodice, but it's not constricting at all - super comfortable. There are no cups, but they can be easily added.
I was between a size 8 and 10 when I wore this, and about cup size 32B, and it fit perfectly. The only alteration I had off the rack was adding a silk lining to the bodice on the inside (it was originally sheer/see through). The tag says size 10. From the top of the bodice to the bottom is apx 53". I am 5'7" and as you can see from photos the dress was sweeping the ground on all sides - I wore flats but could have worn 1–2" heels.
The bottom edge is rough-cut by design - so any fraying there can be easily trimmed off. There is some slight wear damage to the inside layer of tulle - however this can all be trimmed gently off as well. This is a great dress for running around in the grass and sidewalks, and not worrying about the bottom.
The train is not too long, and only in the top three layers. There are bustle-loops that are still good.
There are countless layers of silk tulle and crinoline on the inside. Under it all is a soft silk slip. This dress is FLOOFY and very soft.
All the beading is intact - the dress is hand-beaded with lots of tiny details, but subtle, delicate, and gorgeous.
The color is soft ivory that shifts between cream and white in the light.
All in all this is a magnificent designer dress, and you'll have a lot of fun in it.
This dress has been in professional dry-cleaned preserved storage until today when I took the photos - so it needs a bit of steam to get the wrinkles out.
SHIPPING is a concern because of the large size of this dress and its storage box. The storage box measures 32" x 19" x 11", and final weight will be determined by packing, as it'll have to go in another box with packing for safe shipping - could be 10–15 lbs. Shipping could cost up to $150, and has been added to the asking price for this dress.
DELIVERY is definitlely possible for buyers within reasonable driving distance of Chicago. Delivery to the Cleveland area can also be arranged.
