Beautiful Sleeveless Sweetheart A-Line Wedding Dress with Floating Lace Applique Bodice and Ethereal Flowy Skirt
This dress was truly my Maggie Sottero dream! I wore this dress twice, once in January 2021 at my original Covid-friendly wedding with 20 guests, and then again in June 2022 at our big reception with all of our family and friends.
We live in New England and the dress was perfect both for our elegant winter wedding and then again for the Spring with its flowers and blush hues.
Fit & Alterations: I am 5'6" about 148 lbs, 36C bra size, and wear between sizes 6-8 for most clothes. This dress is marked a size 10 and fit me perfectly. The only alterations done on the dress were the hem (fit for 2-inch heels) and the bustle. There were no additional alterations made - lucky me! There is no padding inside the bust of the dress. The dress has full bust and back coverage and can be worn with or without a bra. It hangs comfortably on the hips and does not need to be worn with Spanx. The bustle adds some volume to the rear end once it is hung, but it looks beautiful and classy.
The upper portion of the dress is ivory lace over a nude mesh and it is full coverage. There is a sparkly Swarovski crystal waistband "belt" that is stunning in the sunlight. The skirt portion is a blush with ivory mesh over it and makes the dress so unique. In the sunshine the dress appears very "pink" but indoors it looks more ivory. The back of the dress closes with dozens of satin ivory buttons.
Condition: It has been worn twice and cleaned twice but the bottom hem of the dress does have some dirt stains. While wearing the dress it is impossible to notice the stains under the layers of mesh, but there are some. There is one fist-size hole in the outer layer of mesh on the back side of the dress along the bottom hem. My heel got stuck in it and tore a small hole. Again, impossible to notice when wearing the dress. The upper bust lace is perfectly intact, and all of the buttons and clasps work perfectly.
The dress was perfectly comfortable for dancing the night away (twice!) and I could not be happier for another bride to share this stunner with me!
